A couple who sued for nervous shock after their twin daughter died five days after her delivery at Waterford University Hospital has settled an action against the HSE at the High Court.
Senior Partner, Emmet Halley, represents Martha Gallagher (aged 6 years), and recently achieved a settlement of a once off lump sum payment of €8,800,000.00 for her in respect of injuries caused as a result of circumstances surrounding her birth at University Hospital Waterford (formerly WRH) in June 2011.
Mr Emmet Halley recently settled an action against the Health Service Executive on behalf of a man, aged 63, who tragically died in the back of an ambulance, whilst being transferred from University Hospital Waterford to St Luke’s Hospital in Kilkenny. The action was taken by his wife and family.
